CPA-CGA · ACCA · QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisor
You didn’t open a shop to do bookkeeping.
Most bookkeepers have never reconciled a POS batch, untangled Shopify payouts, or costed inventory. I’ve spent eight years doing exactly that, for markets, cafés, retailers, and ecommerce brands, as a designated CPA.
So while you run the business, your books get closed properly every month: reconciled, compliant, and explained in plain English. Product businesses are my specialty; every small business is welcome.

Hi, I’m Khaula.
CPA-CGA, ACCA member, and QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisor, with eight years across retail, ecommerce, grocery, and hospitality accounting. I started this practice because small business owners deserve the same quality of financial information big companies get, from someone who explains it without jargon and never makes you feel behind.
Numbers tell a story. When that story is accurate and easy to understand, you make stronger decisions with confidence.
More about meQuestions owners actually ask
Do I need a bookkeeper or an accountant?
With a CPA-led practice, you don't have to choose. I handle the monthly bookkeeping and bring an accountant's judgment to it: proper accruals, clean year-end files, and numbers your tax accountant can work from without a cleanup bill. I work alongside your existing tax preparer, not instead of them.
My books are months (or years) behind. Can you fix that?
Yes, and you won't be judged for it. Catch-up work is one of the most common ways clients start with me. I rebuild the transaction history, reconcile every account, and prepare any overdue HST/GST filings, then keep you current from there.
What software do you work with?
QuickBooks Online is my home base. I'm an Advanced Certified ProAdvisor and handle QBO setups, Desktop-to-Online migrations, and integrations with Shopify, A2X, MyWorks, and point-of-sale systems. I've also worked in Sage 50, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Do you work with U.S. businesses?
Yes. My practice is fully remote and built for it. Canadian clients get HST/GST compliance included; for U.S. clients I manage the books and reporting and coordinate with your U.S. tax professional on sales tax and filings. U.S. engagements are billed in USD.
How does pricing work?
Monthly plans start at $1,295 and are quoted as a flat fee after a free consultation, so you always know the number before we start. No hourly surprises, no meters running. One-off projects like cleanups and migrations are quoted flat too.
Is my financial data secure?
Yes. Your books live in your own QuickBooks Online account, with me added as your accountant, so you keep ownership and can see everything I do. Documents are shared through secure channels, never as loose email attachments, and everything is handled in full confidentiality.
Do we ever need to meet in person?
Only if you want to. I'm based in Barrie, Ontario and happy to meet local clients face-to-face, but the entire practice runs remotely: video calls, shared dashboards, and a monthly report that explains itself.
What happens in the free consultation?
Thirty minutes, no obligation, no pitch. You tell me about the business and where the books stand; I tell you honestly what needs doing and what it would cost. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so and point you somewhere useful.
