Why I do this
I spent eight years inside retail, ecommerce, grocery, and hospitality companies, closing their months, reconciling their POS batches, costing their inventory, and building the reports their leadership ran on. What I noticed everywhere: big companies get financial clarity as a matter of course. Small business owners, the people with the most riding on every dollar, usually get a shoebox of receipts and a once-a-year conversation with a tax preparer.
This practice exists to close that gap. Numbers tell a story, and when that story is accurate and easy to understand, owners make stronger decisions with confidence. My job is to make your story accurate, current, and clear, and to be the calm, responsive person you can ask anything without feeling judged.
The road here
8+ years
of progressive accounting experience across retail, ecommerce, grocery, manufacturing, and hospitality businesses, from assistant accountant to senior accountant and systems lead.
Systems work
Led a QuickBooks Desktop-to-Online migration, implemented Shopify/QBO integrations, built a fixed-asset system, and automated reporting with Power Query.
IFRS transition
Led a company's transition from local GAAP to IFRS, including restating the current and prior two years' financial statements. Detail work at its most unforgiving.
Today
An independent practice serving small businesses across Canada, doing the work I like best: making owners' numbers accurate, current, and understandable.

QuickBooks Online Migrations
Led clean migrations from legacy platforms (including QuickBooks Desktop) to QuickBooks Online. Designed custom charts of accounts and restructured historical records to ensure clean reporting.
Shopify & POS Integrations
Implemented multi-channel POS and eCommerce sync solutions (using tools like MyWorks Sync, A2X, and Webgility). Automated sales reconciliation, tax mapping, and inventory costing.
GAAP to IFRS Transitions
Managed full-cycle transitions from local GAAP to IFRS frameworks, including restating current and prior years' financial statements, establishing balance sheet accuracy, and documenting adjustments.
Reporting Automation
Automated monthly close reports and KPIs utilizing Advanced Excel and Power Query. Shaved days off close cycles by eliminating manual data entry from point-of-sale and merchant processors.
